A familiar face, Manny Hernandez rejoins Lubbock Sports Medicine as a Physician Assistant for Dr. Kevin Crawford after serving a number of years as a clinical coordinator/athletic trainer previously. He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota's Physician Assistant Program and also holds a Master's of Athletic Training Degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

In a recent effort to focus on providing the most modern treatment options he has completed a fellowship in adult joint reconstruction at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.During this comprehensive educational period Dr. Shephard gained experience in industry-leading minimally invasive joint replacement techniques, partial joint replacement techniques, as well as joint resurfacing procedures.
