Many choose to explore the area on horseback and Arizona-Horses Ranches, Inc. is the largest outfitter in the state. Children 6 and up ride their own horse. On occasion a 6 year old will be allowed to ride with an adult if the adult is small, the child is small and we have a horse that takes doubles.
Weight Restrictions

The Ponderosa location has a weight limit of 300 pounds. There is such a difference between a 300 lbs person that is 5 foot 2 and one that is 6 foot 5. Some folks are strong enough to handle their own weight while others struggle too much. It is very uncommon that we can't accommodate someone. We have added bigger stronger horses, larger saddles and loading and unloading equipment to accommodate you.
