Imaging Services

Ouachita County Medical Center has a state of the art imaging department which features a 80 slice CT Scanner with angiographic protocols, DEXA-Bone Density Unit, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and a dedicated mammography unit. The department also features digital radiography and fluoroscopy as well as completely modern ultrasound equipment including doppler, obstetric, and vascular procedures.
Laboratory
Report
OCMC provides an extended menu of laboratory tests utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. Our services include: Chemistry, Hematology, Serology, Bacteriology, DNA Collections and Blood Bank. Blood Bank suppliers are maintained in cooperation with the American Red Cross. All testing is under the direction of skilled Pathologists and Technologists.
Pediatric Patients

Pediatric patients are cared for in our new Medical/Surgical floor - 300 wing. We believe the presence of the patient's family member or guardian is conducive to the healing and emotional security of a child. Complimentary meals are also provided for one parent during their child's stay. Please address this to your nurse.
Emergency Room Services
Report
As a Level 4 in the state-wide Trauma system, OCMC's emergency room features a team of specialized physicians and nurses who treat approximately 1000 patients each month. Our nursing staff is Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Trauma Nurse Care Curriculum trained. Surgical consultations are readily available.
