Parents can view account balances online and students can do missed classroom sessions and play the videos associated with the missed sessions, just by signing into their account. Students will also be able to apply for their instruction permit (temps) as early as age 15, to be able to practice for a whole year before going for their probationary license. To do this students must be enrolled in drivers' education and also pass the State signs and general knowledge tests. All students would be able to apply for probationary license at age 16 providing you have held you instruction permit for a minimum of 6 months.

With the increase in distracted driving rising every year, we believe it is important for your student to understand the dangers associated with combining tasks instead of focusing on the most important one, driving. With the pedal Karts students have a hands on learning of what happens with speeding while going through the course.

Karen and Tom Decker are both lifelong residents from the Wausau area, we have two children Jon and Madeline. Tom has driven school bus here in Wausau for 18 years and was also an over the road truck driver for 15 years. He has acquired over 2 million miles of accident free driving. No freight claim, or equipment damages, not even a speeding ticket.
Classroom & Behind the Wheel Instruction

Behind the Wheel Instruction will begin when student has instruction permit in hand no early appointments will be made until student has instruction permit (temps). Behind the Wheel instruction is divided into two (2) sections.
The first will have your student driver for 4 (6 for 9-hour program) of their lessons to get them started, then second having the students back before the road test for their last 2 lessons (3 for 9-hour program) to fix any bad habits that they picked up and to prepare them for the road test with the DMV.

NOTE: Please sign in on the Black Band located at the bottom of the home screen for internet instruction. Once completed, student will be issued a classroom completion certificate that will need to be given to the behind the wheel school of choice. Student may take State signs and written test with us at our office at 1709 N. 6th St. Wausau by appointment only.

For Students who took classroom elsewhere, you must provide proof of taking and passing classroom instruction. Your classroom school will have given you a classroom completion certificate as proof. This certificate must be given to the Behind the Wheel school for verification with the State upon completion.
