Wanumetonomy Golf & Country Club is a private club with a classic links-style course. Wanumetonomy, translated as "windy hill" according to local lore, was founded in 1922 and is located on the western edge of Aquidneck Island in Middletown, Rhode Island.
Wanumetonomy was also the local Narragansett Sachem or Governor of the Aquidneck Island in 1638 in which the Club is named. The 18-hole course, whose fairways wind their way along the contours of Wanumetonomy's hillside expanse, provides the player an always-changing view of Narragansett Bay's East Passage.

You must obtain a Share of Wanumetonomy Stock and keep the share in your name as long as you hold your membership. If you do not own a share there is a list of shareholders who are willing to sell their share(s). This list can be sent to you upon request. You will then fill in your information. You may put as many names on a share as you would like.
