Dr. Benjamin Cox, D.O. is a sports medicine fellowship trained, board-certified, orthopedic surgeon, specializing in surgical and non-surgical care of bone, joint, tendon, ligament, and muscle injuries. He has trained in fellowship with world renowned surgeon, Dr. James R. Andrews, MD, at the Andrews Institute for Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.

If you are a smoker, it is best to take a break from smoking starting 6 weeks prior to your surgery and to remain tobacco free for at least 6 weeks following your surgery. Dip, Chew, and Vapor that contain nicotine should be avoided as well to optimize your success post-operatively. Icing is an important part to reducing swelling and pain after your surgery.
