Helgren's Oceanside Sportfishing was founded in 1978 by Richard and Caroline Helgren. They decided to leave Channel Islands Sportfishing Center in Oxnard, California, to take a journey down the coast with their boat, the Electra, to start a new sportfishing landing in Oceanside, California. Today, Helgren's Oceanside Sportfishing is still family-owned and operated.
