The Kalamazoo Kennel Club is committed to providing classes, information, and tools needed that help enable dogs be become well-behaved members of the community. Classes are available in many different areas that enhance learning while providing a fun outlet for owners. The club is involved in providing current information to the public on issues such as health, training, showing and responsible dog ownership.
Endeavoring to be a good neighbor, the club provides education seminars, health clinics and facility rental. The KKC Activity Center is a vibrant facility open for training and meetings most weeknights. Fun matches, seminars and trials are held on the weekend. These are open to the general public. The club has the necessary equipment and expertise to train dogs in the various aspects of obedience, conformation, rally and agility.

This exciting new program designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start. Training classes teach you how to best communicate with your puppy. Organized training classes also provide an opportunity for your dog to socialize with other dogs.
This class is aimed at earning the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy distinction, you'll be able to get information on all of your puppy-raising questions including housetraining, chewing, and the most effective way to teach practical skills such as coming when called, sit, stay, heel, down, and other helpful commands.The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy training is a natural lead in to the AKC Canine Good Citizen Program.

The Kalamazoo Kennel Club Building is occasionally available for rent. It features a full kitchen, a separate dining or meeting room and a 12,000 square foot activity center. Many small clubs find the rental of our facility more affordable for shows, seminars, or matches while still offering all the amenities of a larger center.
