Fellow Earthlings' Wildlife Center was chosen by Animal Planet to partner with them on their hit series "Meerkat Manor." Director Pam Bennett-Wallberg was chosen to be Animal Planet's publicity spokesperson and is featured, along with our facility, on the Animal Planet's website. Founded in 1989, Fellow Earthlings' Wildlife Center is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization.

We are the only privately licensed facility that specializes in caring for meerkats (Suricata suricatta). Situated in the high desert of California, just 45 minutes from world-famous Palm Springs and 2 hours from Los Angeles and San Diego, our location was carefully chosen for its climate, which most closely replicates that of the meerkats' native habitat in the Kalahari Desert of southern Africa.

About
Report
Fellow Earthlings' Wildlife Center is a privately licensed (CA Fish and Game, U.S.D.A., Fish and Wildlife Service), 501(C)3 non-profit facility that specializes in caring for meerkats. The animals we provide a permanent home for come to us from accredited zoological parks.

Meerkats are placed here for a variety of reasons: The animals may be orphaned, injured, sick, old, or the previous facility may simply be out of room and can no longer care for them. You and your guests can visit our Center and hand-feed the meerkats through our "Adopt" program. Fellow Earthlings' Wildlife Center is proud to be partnered with Animal Planet on their hit series Meerkat Manor.
Adopt
Report
Our "Adopt a Meerkat Program" entitles you and up to three of your guests to enjoy a private, two-hour interactive experience with the meerkats at our Center. You will be able to feed, photograph, and play with our wee rascals. The meerkats will enjoy taking treats from your hand, sitting in your lap, untying your shoelaces, and peeking in your pockets.
Merchandise
Report
A small meerkat "mob" is meticulously depicted enjoying the last glowing light of the African sunset while The Meerkat Motto, nestled in the upper corner of the poster, reminds us of the characteristics we so love and admire about these magical little animals. Available exclusively from Fellow Earthlings' Wildlife Center, all proceeds from the sale of our posters goes directly to caring for the meerkats living at the Center.
Donation
Report
Since 1989 Fellow Earthlings' Wildlife Center, Inc., has been dedicated to providing life-long homes to orphaned, old, sick, injured, or homeless meerkats. All the special creatures that live at the Center depend on us for their safety, food, shelter, and quality of life. We, in turn, depend on you, the donor, to help fund our facility so we can provide the animals with the best possible care.
FAQs
Report
We hope the following information will help you get the most out of your meerkat adoption and answer some important questions for those of you wishing to book a visit with the meerkats. You need not visit to become an adoptive parent and join our "mob." Many of our adoptive parents are unable to visit the Center, yet still choose to support the meerkats through their "mob membership" adoption donation.
