Batchelor's Service
Proudly Providing Air Conditioning Service to Mobile and Baldwin County for Over 54 Years!. At Batchelor's Service, we understand the tendency for homeowners to take their HVAC systems for granted-we're busy too! But we also know that things like ongoing neglect, shoddy ac installations, and improperly sized equipment are more costly, not only in the long run, but in your monthly fuel bills, too.

That's why it's important to get your ac or air conditioner serviced by a licensed air conditioning company. When you're dealing with a clogged drain, leaking pipe, or broken showerhead, you don't want just any plumber. You want a reliable one. Someone who can come in, take care of your plumbing repair, and put your family back on the road to comfort.

Daikin Solutions
Report
And the only thing more perfect than this outdoor scenario is that it's all happening inside. Because that's where we work. That's where we play, where we sleep, where we truly live. Daikin VRV LIFE systems are the industry's first VRV heat pump with gas furnace connectivity for residential homes. The new VRV LIFE systems offer opportunities that some traditional HVAC systems have challenges with for single family homes.
Selecting an HVAC Contractor
Report
Study up - Find out about license and insurance requirements for contractors in your state. And before you call a contractor, know the model of your current system and its maintenance history. Also, make note of any uncomfortable rooms. This will help potential contractors better understand your heating needs.
How BTUs and EERs Work
Report
Most air conditioners have their capacity rated in BTUs, or British Thermal Units. A BTU is, generally, the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one pound of water one degree F. Specifically, a BTU is 1,055 joules, but the first definition is easier to understand in real-life terms. One "ton", in heating and cooling terms, is 12,000 BTUs.
Maintenance Checklist
Report
Maintain your equipment to prevent future problems and unwanted costs. Keep your cooling and heating system at peak performance by having a contractor do annual pre-season check-ups. Contractors get busy once summer and winter come, so it's best to check the cooling system in the spring and the heating system in the fall.
Available Tax Credits
Report
The systems you now use or choose to have installed may qualify for energy efficiency savings. You may be able to take the credits if you made energy saving improvements to your home located in the United States in 2020. Homeowners may be able to claim federal tax credits equal to 10% of the installed cost for qualifying HVAC improvements, up to a maximum credit of $500.
