Shallow Hill is a full service English riding facility west of Columbus, Ohio that focuses on the relationship between horse and rider. We strive to create a low stress environment for students, boarders and our equine companions. We have something to offer regardless of age and experience level with riding horses.
We maintain a diverse group of lesson horses appropriate for most ages and ability levels. The focus is on a quiet environment where the focus is on building a solid foundation for riding in the English saddle. At Shallow Hill we know what we love and what we love is jumping! There are many ways to enjoy horses, but we focus exclusively on hunters, taught the old fashioned way.

Lessons do not have a set time limit however private lesson typically run half an hour, groups run an hour. We also encourage students to assist in the tacking up and un-tacking process. Full board $350 / month. Includes 11 11 stall, daily stall cleaning, large tack locker, twice daily feeding, daily group or individual turnout, blanket checks and daily overall health check.

Once constant source of amusement and/or horror for me is all the fine people I meet who, upon discovering I live on a horse farm, say something to the extent of "Oh, I would love to buy a place where we could have a couple of horses." I usually answer politely, the specifics of my answer largely driven by how much experience they have with horses.

13hh 15yr old gelding. No papers. Was very overweight and out of shape when we got him. Good feet, stocky enough for adults to ride. Western/English/trails/ small jumps. Used as a lead line pony in camp and for walk trot lessons. Horse experienced home a must as can be very lazy and will need someone to keep him moving.

To get to us take I-70 to exit 72 and go towards London (right if coming from the west, left if coming from the east). We are located on the right when coming from the freeway, first house after the drive thru feed store (Terry's Feed & More). If you reach the light at Route 40, you've gone too far!
