Myomectomy

Women who want to retain fertility but have fibroid tumors are candidates for laparoscopic myomectomy. Fibroid tumors can cause miscarriage and other issues that can complicate a pregnancy, so often the best course of action is to remove them. The fibroid or fibroids are removed by making small incisions in the abdomen to allow the laparoscope and the surgical instruments to be introduced.
