Dr. Dagley is from Houston, Texas. He received his undergraduate degree from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene. He graduated from UNT Health Science Center - Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003 and completed his residency at UT Southwestern and Parkland in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Low Back Pain

Most cases of low back pain are mechanical, and in many cases, caused by a general wear and tear that occurs in the joints, bones, or disks as people age. Sub -acute back pain is pain that lasts less than 12 weeks. Back pain that lasts 12 weeks or longer is called chronic back pain. Treatment plans can vary, but you might be a candidate for a variety of therapies and treatments to help alleviate low back pain.
Sciatica

Radicular pain is a type of pain, tingling, numbness, or weakness in the leg that originates from the lower back and affects the buttock, top and back of the leg. The most common symptom of radicular pain usually radiates along the sciatic nerve and down the leg. Radicular pain usually goes away on its own.

Facet disease affects the small joints that connect the individual vertebrae in the spine. Each bone in the neck and spine is connected on either side with a joint called the facet joint, and like other joints, the facet joint has cartilage and a protective covering. The cartilage and protective covering can wear down or become non-existent over time.

Joints are the places where two or more bones come together. Joints are made up of protective cartilage and fluid that cushion and provide lubrication - allowing the bones to move without friction. Joint pain is very common - knee, shoulder, and hip pain being the most common - and can be caused by a number of conditions, such as osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis, bursitis, and injuries such as breaks, sprain, and strains.
