Extreme species such as eagles, falcons, bobcats, and river otters and more need 24-hour care and very few facilities are set up for them.

Found Something
Report
Spring and summer are nesting seasons for most birds, and concerned birders regularly find young birds out of the nest and seemingly on their own prematurely. When you find a baby bird, understanding what to do can help you ensure it has the proper care and best chances of survival. If you find a young bird alone on the ground or otherwise away from its nest, you must first determine if it is, in fact, a baby in need of assistance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Report
A: If you spend more than $100, yes. Otherwise our Adopt-A-Critter program is a separate donation, which is still very much appreciated! A: Our adopt a critters are wildlife that have a permanent disabilty such as : being imprinted on people, blind in one eye, wing or leg problems, etc. These creatures would die a slow cruel death if released because they would not be able to survive on their own.

HAWKE Sponsors
Report
These businesses have supported us for many years, PLEASE return the favor and support them. Tell them you saw their info on our site and that we say hell! The practice was founded in 1980 by Dr. Jack Shuler. He started the veterinary hospital in a small house on the current location. The practice quickly outgrew the house requiring the construction of a new 5000 square foot hospital on the site.
