We require a $100 deposit. This is only refundable if it's raining, or if you contact us 48 hours prior to the ride. If we have to cancel your ride due to a horse illness, or other emergency, and we are not able to provide a 48 hour notice, we will refund your deposit AND give you a gift certificate for two.
Our rides are by appointment. Please call or text us to check availability. Please include: 1. Your full name, 2. The date you want to ride, 3. The number of riders. If we are available, we will need some details about your group including the height and weight of each rider. We want to make sure we match you with the right horse, and a saddle that fits you, so please be honest about your weight.

David Alexander (left) and Jeff Cook (right) are long-time Southlake residents and have operated Widowmaker Trail rides since 2002. They are both founding members of the Southlake Mounted Patrol where they provide volunteer time at High School football games, parades, and Southlake festivals. They also work with the Southlake Police to improve safety on the 15 miles of lake trails.

Our normal riding location is the Walnut Grove trail on Lake Grapevine. Remember that all of our rides are by appointment so if you just show up, we will not be there. We have a business office on Cedar Springs in Dallas that you may find when searching Google. We will NEVER meet at that location. There are several places to access the Walnut Grove trail, so please confirm this with your wrangler prior to departure.
