We are located in Ellsworth, Illinois, about 15 miles outside of Bloomington. Long Ridge is home to both horses and dogs alike. We offer riding lessons, boarding, and even an active competition team for our equestrian friends, and provide multiple training options for our canine companions!

Boarding
Report
As owner/operators, we live and work on the farm allowing us to provide personal care for your horse. We proudly offer a very well maintained facility with many on-site amenities: Stall and pasture board, round pen, wash bay, humidity controlled tack room, indoor and outdoor arenas and trails. Friendly, educated and well experienced staff ensure your boarding experience is of the highest quality.
Lessons
Report
Our riding program is centered on good horsemanship. This means we incorporate handling, ground work, management, and equine science in addition to riding into our program. We emphasize treating horses with respect and having their and your safety a priority. We tailor our lessons to each individual to provide the best learning experience possible for each student.
Dogs
Report
We have had Vizslas for the past 12 years and have worked with German Shepherd Dogs for the past 4. We compete and show in AKC, UKC, WCR, and BHA in conformation, rally obedience, and barn hunt. Jeanie is currently a board member at our local dog training club, Town and Country Kennel Club and trial secretary for their WCR rally trials.

We usually have two litters of Vizslas and one to two litters of German Shepherds each year. We have lots of current and past puppy pictures available at Lone Ridge Farm on Facebook. We breed dual type Vizslas, meaning we breed for conformational correctness and hunting ability, along with temperament and trainability.
Ridge
Report
At a year old Ridge has already earned his AKC STAR puppy and Canine Good Citizen titles, along with his UKC conformation championship, WRC Rally Puppy title, and just after he turned one year his Barn Hunt Rat Instinct and Rat Novice titles! He is also pointed in the AKC conformation ring and we plan to continue showing this lovely boy!
