Ballet Classes
Our ballet program develops proper technique and grace through structured training. Students learn traditional ballet positions, barre work, and center combinations. Classes emphasize posture, alignment, and musicality while preparing dancers for pointe work when appropriate.
Hip Hop
Contemporary hip hop classes teach street-style dance techniques with a focus on rhythm and musical interpretation. Students develop coordination, isolations, and freestyle confidence while learning current choreography trends in a high-energy environment.
Acrobatics
Acro classes combine dance with gymnastics elements to enhance flexibility and strength. Students progress through levels mastering cartwheels, walkovers, and aerials while maintaining proper safety techniques on sprung floors.
Competitive Teams
Our award-winning competition teams offer advanced training in multiple genres. Dancers participate in 2-4 competitions annually, with opportunities to earn technical awards and high score recognitions through choreographed group performances.
Mommy & Me
Designed for toddlers aged 18-24 months, these introductory classes develop motor skills and musical awareness through interactive dance activities. Parents participate in fun, age-appropriate movement exercises with their children.

Recognized as National Choreographer of the Year, Appolonio Leake leads our studio with over two decades of dance education experience. She oversees curriculum development and directs award-winning choreography for competitive teams.

My daughter has come so far this year since being With Apple. We brought her here because of Covid, and the high cost and distance from our home will likely keep us from returning next year, but we wont regret the year she spent training with Apple and competing with her team. Ill add that the dancers here have all been kind and inclusive.

This studio has amazing dance instructors and workers that make you feel like you are apart of the family. My 4 year old daughter is taking two classes, and as a first time dance mom, everyone here just makes everything so easy! I cant recommend this place enough 10/10

I would love to rate this establishment as a ZERO STAR but that is not an option. As a former parent of a student who danced at the previous studio - Applonia Leake Dance Company there is a lot of stuff that people do not know about. Throughout the past years of dancing at the Penn Hills location I watched several students get injured because of staff not paying attention to students while tumbling.
The staff also was not very great at spotting either. Teachers came and left quickly. There was hardly any staff left at one point. As parents we never knew what was going on.

Apple's Dance Lab not only teaches the best classes with the best coaches, but also lets the creativity of the individual dancer shine through with each routine and performance. I highly recommend to anyone looking to get into the TRUE dance world! (They also offer other types of classes as well!)
