Our Mission
Report
Neighborhood Yoga seeks to provide a space that supports well being of both body and mind, connecting us to our intrinsic nature, so that this may become the platform from which we connect with one another. It is the home of education and inspiration located in the heart of downtown Boone.

We are dedicated to supporting each individual's personal journey through a wide spectrum of classes, ranging from calming and centering to dynamic and exhilarating, but all share the purpose of enriching our body, mind, hearts, and community. Our intention is to warmly welcome you to your practice, exactly as you are, and discover how this ancient practice has the power to heal, inspire and awaken us to our essence.
Our Founder
Report
We are a community of yoga practitioners, teachers, and people who want to make a positive change in their lives. Yoga has taught me how to navigate life in ways I've never imagined, and all it asks back, is that we do it. We started small, in 2005, in a studio built by me and my husband (literally in the neighborhood) in our hometown of Boone, NC.

If you've never done yoga before, are returning from an injury, or just want to ease in slowly, you might want to start with our gentle, restorative, or therapeutic classes. Other options would be our "slow flow" classes or "align and refine." These are mixed level classes, but the "align and refine" classes in particular focus more on "form" than "flow."
Parking
Report
This is probably the most commonly asked question! It's not that complicated, once you know the rules. The meters in downtown Boone were not installed to discourage us from coming downtown, but instead to ensure that spaces are available for us when we do.

With the university only one block away, and over 15,000 students, you can easily see how downtown parking could be overrun with student parking, and unavailable for patrons of downtown business. All metered spaces are free after 5:00pm and on Sundays, so street parking on King Street, Depot Street and Queen Street should not be an issue.
Schedule
Report
You will receive the email with the Zoom link for your classes 10 to 15 minutes before class. If you sign up closer to the class time, we will send as soon as we are able. VIEW YOUR ACCOUNT INFO to the right top of the schedule! Watch a tutorial (YouTube) on how to sign up and view your account, including passes, your schedule and how to cancel a reservation.

What a lovely space! Stopped in for a lunchtime flow while in town and was so happy I did. Excellent teacher, beautiful space, and a nice little shop too. They have mats and props to borrow, and are offering online classes too if you prefer.

This is a wonderful studio with a delightful atmosphere. Every detail has been so carefully thought out, so from the moment you walk through the door you feel like you've been transported. I took my two boys for an afternoon yoga class which was led by a great teacher, and we felt right at home despite visiting from Colorado. We would highly recommend this space for anyone needing a respite from their day. Would love to come back for another class soon!

This place is amazing: peaceful and calm yet offering challenge and excercise for the mind and body. The new facility downtown is beautiful and a place of deep comfort for me. The instructors are excellent. Food at Kindly Kitchen is nutritious and delicious! I did not even notice it was vegan. Neighborhood Yoga is a wonderful place to visit as often as you can!

Neighborhood Yoga is my home away from home. When people come together in sincere intention to practice bringing their minds and bodies together, magic happens. The studio is warm and inviting and the teachers are great. So grateful for this space!

When I made the commitment to grow my yoga practice nearly two years ago, I eventually found my way to Neighborhood Yoga's Teacher Training program and to a regular monthly membership. When I'm lucky, I roll out my mat here seven days a week! I have visited many yoga studios around the country and I can say without hesitation that this one right here in my hometown is (by far) the most beautiful, AND it is filled with kind, loving and caring teachers all of whom have their own unique style and focus. The people who come here to practice are a wide variety of wonderful souls. My life changed for

Neighborhood yoga is an amazing space full of wonderful people! Even when I haven’t practiced in a while, I show up and always feel so welcomed. This non-judgmental community is very special and they welcome anyone and everyone - not to mention the sheer beauty of the studio is hard to beat.

One of the most beautiful yoga studios I have ever seen, with a wonderful supportive community. And most importantly, the quality of teaching is at the highest level. I live an hour away but I practice at Neighborhood yoga and it is very much worth it.

Neighborhood Yoga has helped me achieve a deep personal yoga practice. I started practicing yoga 9 years ago. I also took teacher training here in 2014.
There is not a more caring and loving community in Boone. We truly felt we found the community we want to bring children into.
I have since landed in Serena’s class as reglaurly as possible. I would suggest new folks attend different classes and see what works best for them. My dad has even found his way to yoga regularly because of this business.
Thank you Neughbirhood for offering such high quality yoga in our area.

Beautiful yoga studio right in the middle of downtown Boone. Easy walking into everything in downtown. We took a great slow flow class on Saturday afternoon. We'll definitely be back for another class.

Well I have to say I was pleasantly surprised today. I was planning to go skiing but due to the blustery winds and frigid temps I opted to stay indoors and treat myself to a 90 minute Slow Flow & Yin class with my lady. Sandra was subbing the class for her first time and did a wonderful job. I would like to return there again. The studio is well planned out from dressing rooms to kitchen area and yoga shop. Their are beautiful statues, plants and lamps of art located outside the studio. Once you enter the studio you feel you're in a special place. Nice hardwoods with brick walls and

I am a power yogi and attended the hatha class. I feel that the class was more of a restorative or gentle class, was looking to move a little more but was very refreshed and relaxed after class. Assists and adjustments were great and everyone was super friendly. The studio is GORGEOUS and very big. They have a nice shop and smoothie bar. I will visit this place again and make sure to inquiry about class level and vigor in advance next time.

Beautiful setting with intimacy, great taste, and lots of natural light flowing in via skylights and windows. Asanas with trees overhead and incredible views of clear sky and cloud formations at times. Valerie is a warm, glowing and radiant host with so much vibrant joy in her heart that she shares with everyone. It is so cheerful to see her every time I stop in with my favorite teacher, Sejal Shah.

I hope everyone gets a chance to visit this gorgeous studio, along with the new location opening soon on King St., while the opportunity still presents itself. I am certain that yoga students and
