Board-certified dermatologists, registered nurses, licensed physician assistants, and licensed aestheticians comprise our exceptional team.
Our physicians are all on the teaching faculty at Stanford and continue to update their skills at national and international professional meetings. Our nurses and aestheticians also continue to further their expertise through seminars, training courses, and other educational endeavors. Continuing education for all providers is important because dermatology is a rapidly evolving field.

Correction of Acne Scarring
Report
Acne can unfortunately lead to significant scarring. Scars can vary in size and appearance. Atrophic scars are shallow, while ice pick scars are deep and narrow. Patients with darker skin might notice pigmentary changes around the scars, while fair-skinned patients may develop redness. Some situations may make acne scars even worse, including picking, squeezing the blemish, and sun exposure.
Eczema Atopic Dermatitis
Report
To determine the best form of treatment, it is necessary to distinguish between the various types of eczema and make a proper diagnosis. Atopic dermatitis is the most severe form, and it can begin as soon as infancy and carry through to adulthood. Other patients may only experience flare-ups of eczema when they are exposed to an irritant, such as dust, soap, smoke, solvents, certain fabrics, specific foods, bleach, and detergents.
