The Cadet Airborne Jump School is a one week course that culminates in 10,000 foot airborne jumps. Cadets must be 18 years or older to attend.

CBLC provides advanced orientation in basic leadership, field training, marksmanship, self-defense and team-building exercises. CALC is a staff position emphasizing strategic leadership, staff planning, and coordinating activities at the unit and higher levels.

Franklin Sousley

Camp Sousley is named in honor of Fleming County Native and Iwo Jima Flag Raiser, Franklin Soulsey. Upon completion of recruit training, he was assigned to Company E, 2d Battalion, 28th Marines of the 5th Marine Division, then at Camp Pendleton, California. Sousley survived the battle for Suribachi and moved northward with his regiment.
