Services
Arthroscopic Surgery
Our orthopedic surgeons utilize arthroscopic techniques to diagnose and treat joint conditions with smaller incisions, reduced recovery times, and improved visualization of joint structures. This approach effectively addresses cartilage damage, ligament tears, and joint inflammation while minimizing tissue trauma. Patients benefit from accelerated rehabilitation protocols and decreased postoperative discomfort compared to traditional open procedures.
Joint Replacements
We specialize in total and partial joint replacement surgeries for hips, knees, and shoulders affected by arthritis or traumatic injury. Our surgeons implant durable prosthetic components to restore mobility and alleviate chronic pain. Postoperative care includes customized physical therapy programs to optimize functional outcomes and implant longevity through evidence-based rehabilitation practices.
Sports Medicine
Our sports medicine specialists treat acute and overuse injuries in athletes of all levels using advanced diagnostic tools and treatment modalities. Services include ligament reconstruction, tendon repair, and performance optimization strategies. We emphasize injury prevention education and collaborate with physical therapists to facilitate safe return-to-play protocols following recovery.
Diagnostic Imaging
On-site MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, and EMG/NCV testing enable rapid diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions. Our 1.5 Tesla MRI provides high-resolution images for accurate assessment of soft tissue and joint abnormalities. Immediate access to imaging results streamlines treatment planning and eliminates delays associated with external referral facilities.
Hand Surgery
Specialized treatment for hand, wrist, and elbow conditions includes surgical repair of tendons, nerves, and fractures. We manage carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, and arthritis through minimally invasive techniques and postoperative hand therapy. Our surgeons employ microsurgical methods to restore function and minimize scarring in complex upper extremity injuries.

DO NOT GO HERE! This place used to be great and I dont know what happened. I have been a patient since I was a child, so about 20 years now, and never had any issues until I injured my back in a car accident back in 2019. Staff are rude and unresponsive or they harass you when they want something from you. Mistakes are constantly being made in the office and it is almost impossible to get a hold of someone to fix the issues. Departments do no communicate with each other leaving patients frustrated. Youre appointments will be cancelled last minute and when they are able to get you in for an

I had to have surgery for a broken ankle and all I can say is that Dr. Hushmendy, who did the external fixator, and Dr. Duarte, who did the main ankle surgery, were amazing. Everything started with an ER visit at Plainview Hospital and by some pure luck, I was assigned to them. They performed all the required surgeries and follow ups for my complex condition. Sure, you can go and see these doctors for all sort of issues, complicated or not, but believe me when I say that Dr. Duarte is part of a different class of orthopedic surgeons. If you have an ankle issue, make sure you see him before deciding

First time patient I visited the massapequa office. I had first appointment in the morning. The office was clean and seemed to run efficiently. After filing initial paperwork I was seen promptly and had x rays and saw the doctor with 20 minutes. Doctor was professional and knowledgeable of my issue and sent me for further nerve testing. I will follow up as I more experiences with this office however based on initial visit I would recommend it .

The people in the office are nice and respectful. My doctor, Dr. Carter actually takes out the time to listen and attends to your concerns. He has been my doctor for over 8 years. Everyone as a team there makes you feel welcomed and safe during the pandemic.

Came here with a sprained ankle. Could not have asked for a better, more comprehensive service. The orthopedic office upstairs is where I started. Doctors were knowledgeable, precise, confident. From the outcome, I know their judgement was spot on. While other urgent cases I went to seemed unsure, Dr Keschner here was confident it was a sprain, not re-fracture. The recovery proved him right.
2 weeks later - I graduated from upstairs to the physical therapy downstairs. This is where I was really impressed. They were - as the team goes - firm but gentle. I spent just over an hour of active work
