Established in 1998, Cabeza Grande Kennel is a small, dedicated kennel interested in improving the state of the Presa Canario in the United States. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, working ability and conformity to true Spanish Presa Canario type. We strive for the "total" Presa. We offer breeding services, as well as puppies for sale.

When we started our kennel in 1991 we thought long and hard about what we wanted to be known for. We wanted the name of our kennel to reflect the one most important thing we personally thought made a great dog. That's a hard thing to come up with, then put into simple words to use as a name. We thought, health, temperament, and type, but what does this mean?

We're exceptionally knowledgeable and are home to some of the finest specimens in the country.

In an effort to further the Cabeza Grande Kennel breeding program for many generations to come, we have collected from some of our most important males for use later. Some of these dogs are available for public studs but those that have passed on, are not available for sale. These are intended to be used with future generations in order to continue to pass on great genetics for many years longer than these dogs could possibly live.
