We offer private driving lessons, the required NYS five hour pre-licensing course, defensive driving courses and Bell's Auto Driving School, Inc. is a driver education contractor serving over 15 area high schools and colleges.In 1963, Albert Bell opened the driving school in Green Island. Twelve years later he moved the business to Clifton Park, working with his wife Theresa.

Our instructors specialize in one-on-one driving lessons. Whether you are a beginner or simply looking for some additional education, our driving instructors will provide training for your level of experience. Driving lessons are for 45, 60, or 90 minutes and students learn the basic rules of the road, defensive driving techniques and proper preparation for the road test.

Please be aware that due to high demand we are currently scheduling lessons approximately 6-8 weeks in advance. We are doing our best to accommodate all requests and have an active cancellation list. Our services are not currently available in the Glens Falls and Greenwich area. If you would like to take lessons during this time you would have to meet us in Saratoga.

Office staff will help you understand the requirements for obtaining your NYS license and schedule your road test through DMV for you. Using our vehicle, students will take a 45 or 60 minute lesson just prior to their test. Immediately following the lesson, students will drive directly to the road test site to take their test.
Schedule a 5 Hour or DDC Class

This mandatory five hour pre licensing class is required by New York State Department of Motor Vehicles for any individual seeking to take a New York State Road Test. The course covers the state required curriculum and is taught by certified instructors. We are currently offering the course virtually via Zoom.
