Denise is an avid gardener and student of gardening for over 20 years. She started Green Thumb Design LLC in 2010 to put her love of gardening and talent to help other people have 'beautiful outdoors by design'. Her formal education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas and a Masters in Business Administration, Friends University, Wichita, Kansas.
Denise is a Graduate of the Virginia Master Gardener program, and has completed the American Rainwater Catchment System Association (ARCSA) Level 200 Training. Her interest in gardening was sparked with the purchase of her first home. The interest turned into a passion and her hobby blossomed into a business.

Denise creates landscape designs that are unique as each of her clients. One of the most important parts of her job is listening to her clients and understanding what they want in their yard. What plants do they like or dislike, what colors do they prefer, how are they going to use the space, and how much do they want to spend?
