The Lebanon County Kennel Club provides no-cost or low-cost assistance to all dog lovers in the greater Lebanon County area of Pennsylvania. Lebanon Mayor Sherry Capello (far left) receives a check for $5,000 from members of the Lebanon County Kennel Club that is to be used for the purchase of a new K-9 officer.

Members shown from left are Terry Hilton and Terina Chernich. Other members present but not pictured are Tammy Collins and Doris Carr. The Lebanon County Kennel Club added to Lebanon Police Department's K-9 officer fundraiser at Thursday's Lebanon City Council meeting when its members presented Mayor Sherry Capello with a check for $5,000.
Services
The Lebanon County Kennel Club (LCKC) was organized in 1991 by a group of dog enthusiasts to further the advancement of all breeds of purebred dogs by promoting awareness of dog welfare, responsible dog ownership, and ethical dog breeding and breeders.

The members are passionate about informing the public about the dangers of purchasing a puppy from a commercial breeder or "puppy mill" as opposed to purchasing one from a reputable, conscientious breeder. To fulfill this mission, LCKC provides obedience courses, show dog handling classes, seminars, and health clinics at no-cost or low-cost.
Membership
Report
When applying for membership to the Lebanon County Kennel Club, the applicant must agree to our Code of Ethics, Constitution and By-Laws, and the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club. When submitting the application for membership, it is required to be present at the general membership meeting and pay the appropriate dues at this first meeting.
We will sponsor two of the five dog shows held during the Blue & Gray Cluster. Our AKC Dog Show is held annually and demonstrates the beauty of purebred dogs in Conformation and other special activities. The clubs will be taking all the recommended safety precautions, so check back here before attending this event.
Training
Report
Our training classes are for dogs 6 months of age and older. You will learn how to teach your dog through positive training methods the basic social and obedience skills (sit, down, stay, come when called, and walk on a loose lead). Dog behavior and possible resolutions to problem behaviors will be discussed.
Bringing a dog into your life should mean you are committed to giving a good home to the dog for its entire life, possibly up to 20 years. So be sure you are ready to make that commitment, and take the time to find the right dog to bring joy to your life.

If you are considering purchasing a purebred puppy, we strongly urge you to contact the Lebanon County Kennel Club's FREE Breeder Referral service which can connect you with reputable breeders to locate a healthy, selectively-bred family companion or show dog.You might also consider adopting an adult purebred dog.
