Mohs is a state-of-the-art treatment in which the physician serves as surgeon, pathologist and reconstructive surgeon. Dermatology & Skin Cancer Consultants was founded by Dr. Dafnis Carranza, Board-Certified Dermatologist, Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery in the fall of 2011.
Dr. Carranza was recruited from UCLA in Los Angeles, California to West Tennessee in 2007 for her outstanding melanoma research and experience and training in Mohs surgery because there is a great need for skin cancer treatment in our area. The mission of Dermatology and Skin Cancer Consultants is to provide exceptional, personalized care in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.

Mrs. Patricia Craig Booher is a Tennessee native who joined our practice in 2015. She is certified through the Dermatology Nurse's Association as an Advance Nurse Practitioner and has worked in the field of dermatology for over 20 years. Patricia trained under her uncle Dr. Sterling Ruffin Craig for 7 years and proceeded to run his practice independently for 8 years after he retired.
