I've known I wanted to be a doctor since I was in the 4th grade. I grew up in a small town of 500 people, where everyone knew each other and watched out for each other. I found it easy to choose family medicine as my specialty because I could help take care of the health needs of the whole family. By knowing and caring for the whole family, you know the family better and they know their doctor better.
