2. BLEEDING: Gauze or surgical packing was placed over the operated area; keep firm pressure on the gauze and change it every hour. 6. MEDICATION: Take the prescribed medication as directed for infection or discomfort. If an antibiotic was prescribed, make sure you continue to use up the entire prescribed amount (even if everything feels fine).

This can arise from the injection, infection, the treatment procedure, and even from keeping your mouth open wide for extended periods. Sometimes, slight adjustments in the bite of the tooth must be made to alleviate continued discomfort.

A new restoration has been specially custom made for your tooth. The latest technology has been used with the greatest care to craft the new restoration in your mouth. However, as with any new filling or crown, there may be some sensitivity. 1. High Spot: The most common reason for post operative sensitivity is a high bite (high spot) on the newly restored tooth.
Implants

Implants provide the ability to replace a missing tooth, or missing teeth, without the need to cut down adjacent teeth as with conventional fixed bridges. The implant is really a three tiered prosthesis; the implant fixture is placed in the bone, then once healed and uncovered, the abutment is placed, and then a crown made to fit over the abutment.
