Covered California is sometimes referred to as the California Health exchange or California insurance exchange. The annual open enrollment begins in fall for all Californians, but there may be an exception based on your situation such as your age or income.

There are no out-of-pocket charge for your first three visits each year when you see a doctor or if you need urgent care; it also includes peventative care at no additional cost. I applied for insurance back in feb. everything went smoothly, I made my payment and just had to wait for my subscriber ID to start working so I can gain access to my card. 6 days went by and finally I made contact. They informed me that they went ahead and canceled my insurance and will refund my money because of the duplicate subscriber ID that they had accidentally made. They then asked me for more money to pay for the new subscriber ID. Once I paid that one they turned around and ended up canceling again. Now I had my policy sent to their escalation department as an urgent access to care on

I really had no idea what I was doing and was trying to take care of this myself and thought I'd be paying several hundreds of dollars for a mediocre plan from the Covered California website. Mark patiently helped me understand the plans and what I qualified for and I ended up with a very good, very reasonably priced insurance plan and I couldn't be happier. At first I did not understand this program and every time I talked to someone they always showed me the more higher cost that made it unaffordable and it made me feel like I would never get anywhere with this program until I met Aiden and he walked me through it with clarity and with understanding to the point that the program made so much more sense to me it is actually a good program something that we should have had years ago I still don't understand what was all the bad talk about if more people would take the time 2 listen and understand Covered California I'm sure they would appreciate this

I'm so glad I found this Covered California agent. I spent a lot of time on the website and I had a lot of questions. So many, in fact, I put off getting insurance. I was driving down Blackstone and saw their sign and decided to go in to see what my options were. I walked out with health insurance sign up and all my questions answered. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about about all the rules and options available to me. All in all I had a good experience and I was very happy with the level of service.
