Much like other associations in North Texas, we are striving to improve the development and overall experience of each child within our program. What has been discovered is that by doing so, the overall experience of every child is improved.

Recreational soccer should remain fun while allowing those children that are developing faster a venue to enhance those abilities, but not take on the demands of a total performance based program at a younger age. There are many pitfalls in "performance" organizations, such as over exerting the young player physically and mentally, and taxing parents financially.

Schedules & Standing
Report
Understand that at any point during the season, your schedule may change due to additions, conflicts, rain-outs, etc. Check your schedule at least weekly for changes in the weeks to come. If you have a game not rescheduled yet, check daily for an update as reschedules can be added at anytime allowing for a 48 hour update, i.e. no new reschedule Sunday night means no game rescheduled for Monday or Tuesday.
Competitive
Report
LC United is the developmental division of LCSA (Lake Cities Soccer Association) and offers young players a developmental experience above the challenge of playing recreational soccer and strives to supplement recreational play, NOT to replace it. The focus of LCU is on development and not on competitive play or selecting a league champion.

All Coach and Manager Background Checks and SafeSport training will all need to be completed in the new GotSport platform. LCSA as an extension of U.S. Soccer is committed to providing all coaches, from beginner to advanced, with education tailored to their experiences and the needs of their players.
Referees
Report
In soccer, referees are given greater discretionary leeway in making "judgment" calls than in most other sports. This leeway is often misunderstood by players, coaches and spectators alike. Players and spectators sometimes will question a referee's calls, particularly in a closely contested game, and feel strongly enough to want to lodge a complaint with LCSA against the referee.

Tell us when you want to work. If all available referees are assigned games and you do not have your time blocked, assignors may assign you to a game. If you are not available, just let the assignor know. If you can work the game, accept it but also update your availability so we know when else you are available.
