Being into classic cars, I was continually frustrated at the quality and incompetence of some of the transport companies that were out there. In February of 2003, I decided to open my own transport service to give people an honest reputable alternative for shipping their cars and trucks. Over the last 17 years, we have been blessed to have made friends all over the U.S and in many parts of the world by shipping thousands of vehicles.

Remove personal or valuable items, and other equipment that are not built in, e, g., car phones, garage door openers, etc. Make sure to do a thorough car inspection with the carrier during pick-up. Any existing car damages should be recorded in the Bill of Lading (BOL), and the carrier should give you a copy of this document before taking off.

Brokers vs Carriers

Using a car shipping carrier may save you a broker fee, but the vehicle carrier company may add it anyway. The carrier may be better at confirming a pickup and delivery date, but there is no guarantee. All auto Transport Carriers have to be licensed and insured, but a shipper has to do homework to confirm this, no matter how honest a carrier may sound.
