In addition to a great group of pumpkins, we'll have crows, canopic jars, wonderful crafts, new JLK Jewelry and more! We're planning to have pieces available both in the Sales Cabin, and outside in the picnic area, to help with social distancing. Masks will be required in all shopping areas; thank you for helping to keep everyone safe!

We're excited to bring this event back for 2021. Steve is a very accomplished NC pottery scholar, and we will have a good selection of books he has written that will be available as well. We will also have new pots available just out of the Groundhog kiln in Salt Glaze, Frogskin, and various copper glazes.

About Jugtown
Report
Jugtown Pottery is a working pottery and an American Craft Shop located in a grove of trees and bamboo eight miles south of Seagrove, in Moore County, NC. It is just off Busbee Road, a road named for Jacques and Juliana Busbee, the founders of Jugtown. Both artists with a love of craft and form, together they created Jugtown Pottery, melding forms from ancient traditions with those developed in North Carolina.
Process
Report
The process begins with clay. The clays at Jugtown come from many sources within several miles of Jugtown. There may be as many as 5 different clays blended together to form one clay body. Consistency is very important, as well as how the clay will perform in the kiln, and how it will hold up with use once fired.
