I've always been creative and crafty, and when I started taking graphic design classes in high school, I knew graphic design was a perfect career path that would allow me to tap into my creativity.

When I started to become undeniably aware of the negative effects that humans have on our planet, I felt panicked and hopeless that - as a graphic designer - my profession was useless in aiding in conservation and sustainability efforts. I was convinced that if I wasn't researching alternative biofuels or inventing plastic-free packaging solutions, I wasn't dedicating my career to anything important.
