The Henry is internationally recognized for bold and challenging exhibitions, for pushing the boundaries of contemporary art and culture, and for being the first to premiere new works by established and emerging artists. Through individual experiences with art, we inspire visitors to upend their expectations and discover surprising connections.
In compliance with IRS recommendations, the Henry's conflict of interest policy and financial statements are available to the public. The Henry is guided by our founding principle: that art expands hearts and minds. All of us here-the board and staff-believe that exposure to artists and original works of art inspires original thinking-and that original thinking is, and always has been, essential to advancing civilization.

Support
Report
Art is not a spectator sport. It thrives when curious, engaged people-people like you-get involved. Your support makes it possible for us to continue taking risks and creating space for uncertain outcomes and unexpected connections. Join the Henry and get a deeper understanding and closer connection to artists and the newest ideas in art.
Permanent Installations
Report
Comprised of two very different styles of architecture-the original 1927 Beaux Arts structure designed by Carl Gould and the 1997 addition by Charles Gwathmey-the Henry offers a singular opportunity for artists to create site-specific art. Some of the pieces are on view permanently and others are on view for a finite amount of time.
