An automatic transmission is a hydraulic system that operates on pressurized oil (fluid). This fluid lubricates the transmission and applies various friction devices (clutches and bands) at specific times to change gears and transfer power from the engine to the drive wheels.

I am a mechanic but don't do transmissions so I had Randy rebuild my Dads transmission and he did a great job at a very fair price. He gave us a quote and did it for that amount and did great work. He uses the car every day for work and it's still running great.
