Services
Services
Report
AVES was opened in 1986 in response to a need in our community to provide quality emergency medical care for pets during the hours your veterinarian is normally closed or unavailable (nights, weekend, holidays). We are centrally located and easily accessable from the Downriver and Monroe, MI areas.
Emergency Services
Report
At Affiliated Veterinary Emergency Service, we offer immediate medical treatment for pets. Care for your pet begins as soon as you call or walk in to our hospital. When you arrive, our staff will listen closely to your observations about your pet and listen closely to the symptoms you describe.

If there is any question about the stability of your pet, with your permission one of our veterinary technicians will examine your pet or bring your pet to the treatment center for immediate examination and treatment.
Digital Radiology
Report
When your pet is injured, obtaining rapid x-ray results may be critical. Our hospital is equipped with on-site digital radiology equipment. This latest technology allows us to examine your dog or cat's skeletal, organ, cardiopulmonary, gastrointestinal, reproductive, and urinary systems.

This is a non-invasive procedure that does not require your pet to be under anesthesia and allows the veterinarian to get a better look at the conditions that may be affecting your pet.The image quality of a digital x-ray is much higher than a film x-ray and can be visualized by us within a few seconds following exposure.
Laboratory Services
Report
Our on-site laboratory provides rapid, important information to aid our veterinarians in diagnosing and treating your pet. It is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and is staffed by skilled, trained technicians 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Complete blood analysis including CBC counts, platelet estimates, serum and plasma testing.
Diagnostic Ultrasound
Report
We may recommend an ultrasound examination for your pet if we need a clear view of your pet's organs. An ultrasound exam is a safe, non-invasive, diagnostic test that allows our veterinarians to look inside your pet's body without having to perform surgery. Your pet usually does not need to be under anesthesia for the ultrasound exam.
