Our coaches are constantly being trained, as our curriculum continues to evolve when new games and exercises are introduced by Coerver Coaches, from all over the world. Over three decades of cooperative curriculum development has afforded us the opportunity to finely-tune our methods for incorporating skills into competitive environments, while building player confidence along the way.

Coerver Coaching was founded in 1984, by Alf Galustian and former Chelsea great Charlie Cooke, who were both inspired by the philosophy of legendary Dutch coach, Wiel Coerver. Together, they developed a program of teaching that was unlike anything else available then or now.
Alf and Charlie's dedication to the game and extensive experience, has formed the backbone of the business, and made Coerver what it is today -- a respected, established, and sought after brand of coaching, which has revolutionized the way soccer is taught and learned by players and coaches alike.

If you stop by a practice run by Coach Ryan, it can be difficult to see who the coach is. There's no one pacing the sidelines, quietly taking in the practice. Instead, you will find Coach Ryan in the middle of the action, teaching lessons through both nutmegs and praise.
Coach Ryan has been coaching for Coerver since he was a teenager, and his 20 years with the program have helped him to three state championship appearances and one title in eight years with the Severna Park Boys Soccer program, but Coach Ryan is just as happy to play with high schoolers competing for a state championship as four year olds learning how to dribbble.

PERFORMANCE ACADEMY is Coerver Coaching's in-depth player development program. This level is for players aged 7-13 and is based on the five S's of the Coerver Code: Skill, Speed, Sense, Strength, & Spirit. The program is taught by experienced Coerver staff coaches, who customize skill development to meet the needs of each individual player.
Center of Excellence
Report
CENTER OF EXCELLENCE has been developed to give an in-depth and comprehensive training curriculum to help grow the individual player. COE provides opportunities for skill and confidence building through complex game situations. Players are put into tricky, game-like scenarios which require them to rely on their individual technique.
