As part of his business he coined the slogan that is still used by the Cantwell Mattress Company: "You can't well sleep without a Cantwell Mattress." In 1930 Cantwell Mattress Company expanded to the Rio Grande Valley with a plant in Harlingen, Texas. E.R. Cantwell moved to Corpus Christi in 1936, where the factory remains today.

Quality sleep finally attained from purchasing a new Cantwell Mattress Company. First night, I woke up pain free from lower back, sciatic nerve pain, and shoulder pain. Every morning since I purchased a Cantwell mattress I wake up refreshed and relaxed. I got the Luxury Firm mattress. Ben was helpful and well informed on the right questions to ask so I can make an informed decision based on options provided. Had these delivered and the delivery persons provided superior service. Mattress has lost its stability within 7 months. Curtis the real owners son should not be allowed to deal with people. He has no sense of how to deal with a situation. My disappointment in this Mattress as well as the new owner is beyond words. I've referred several people over the last 7 months but after today's discussion with Curtis, never again.

I do not hand out comliments easily, so this one really counts. We have had our Cantwell matress and adjustable bed for almost a month and it is great. We purchased it over telephone conversations as we were returning to Texas. Ruben and the delvery guys did a fantastic job. In spite of a miss communication which they quickly resolved, our Cantwell was delivered as promise on our move-in date. My wife and I are sleeeping better than we have in a long time. Thank you all Canntwell employees from manufacturing to sales to delivery and setup.

Local/family owned business & truly the mattress experts. I was in & out with a new mattress in less than 30 minutes. I explained what I was looking for in a mattress & the gentleman helping me knew exactly the type of mattress that would fit my needs. He was extremely knowledgeable, pleasant & to the point. On a side-note, each mattress is custom made here in Texas which is pretty cool. Very reasonable pricing. An all around great, quick & efficient mattress shopping experience.

These folks have got to be the best mattress store in the nation: Cantwell Mattress in San Antonio & Corpus Christi. I slept on my fist Cantwell Mattress in 1955. Linda and I bought our most recent one 4 years ago. After all that time we decided that was no longer what we wanted for our age (and my weight!). So we went in to buy a replacement and found what we wanted in a new king size. Ruben printed out the invoice - it was $0 (zero - zip - nada). The latest Curtis Cantwell (III) was there and he said, "We didn't sell you a mattress, we sold you good sleep." Is this a for-real Texas business or

My wife and I were looking for a replacement for our 5 inch foam mattress in our RV. It was a special make because of the rounded corner at the foot of the corner bed. We talked with Ruben Martinez and guaranteed that they could do it. The first time they brought the completed mattress the curve was on the wrong side. They took it back and a few days later they delivered a beautiful mattress that fits like a glove in our RV. Instead of 5 inches of flattening foam we now have a 9 plus inch high mattress that we look forward to using for at least the next 5-10 years. See the photo as to the fit of
