Footsteps Child Care is a home daycare and preschool that focuses on the development of every child's cognitive, physical and emotional needs. We do this one step at a time and one day at a time, acknowledging that each day brings new curiosity and adventure to a young child's world. In striving to nurture this curiosity and enhance self-confidence, Footsteps provides a safe and explorative environment.

At Footsteps, we incorporate the principles and core beliefs of the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which states. Children collaborate with their peers in small groups on a daily basis and seek out knowledge through their own investigations, while having their thoughts and questions valued. Children are encouraged to use language to express feelings and thoughts, and to explore and investigate the world around them.
Programs

In the infant program we focus on sensory activities, communication and play. Children learn through music, dance, books, flashcards, toys, and their environment by exploring what is around them. Teachers also focus on helping children learn about their bodies and comfort children as feelings arise.

We are happy you are interested in joining our community! We host an open house each month for prospective parents. Please review the upcoming open house dates from the list below, and send us an email indicating the date you would like to attend. Tours must be scheduled in advance, and space is limited.
