After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Wayne State College in 2007, Shawn accepted an accounting position with Kramer and Associates, LLC in Sioux City, IA. In 2009, he made the move to Kansas City after accepting a job offer from Herfordt Shelton Mertens & Couch (now Walters McCann Fanska, LLC) as a tax accountant and eventually graduated to a tax manager position, where he worked until 2014.
