It's very common that facial skin and fat will eventually start to sag, and that excess skin can bunch around the jaw line and in the upper neck. It's common-but it is not a mandatory part of aging. The procedures listed here can lift years-and sometimes decades-off your face.
Facelift

One of the first places we see signs of aging is in the lower-to-mid face and neck. A facelift is a surgical procedure that uses well-hidden incisions to tighten and smooths these areas. The actual "lift" comes from lifting a layer below the skin called the SMAS and then removing the excess skin. Lifting the SMAS helps reposition the tissues around the cheeks and jawline that have drooped with time.
Mini Facelift

A mini facelift uses small incisions around the ears to tighten skin in the face. Because of the incision size a mini facelift doesn't address neck sagging or excess skin as much as a traditional facelift. But a mini facelift still tightens the SMAS and removes some excess skin. As with a traditional facelift, the skin will smooth and tighten in the lower part of the face, giving a more youthful appearance.
