Its building is a landmark, proudly standing in Kinston's downtown on the same spot where Hyman Stadiem first opened a clothing store in 1903. The Greensboro native, barely out of his teens, chose Kinston for its potential and for its central location among eastern North Carolina towns.

I am from Beaufort NC and was originally going to Raleigh to shop for dress clothes. However, I decided to stop in Kinston to H Stadiem because I have seen their commercials. Best move I could make. The service and selection was second to none. Hospitality was awesome. Not to mention I didn’t have to drive all the way to Raleigh. If you need nice affordable quality clothes give these folks a try. See you soon and will refer my friends. Thanks again

Brides, unless you want to be up at 4 a.m. worried sick about your groom’s and his groomsmen’s wedding attire being wrong three days before the wedding, do not use H Stadiem. The suits came in yesterday, and so far:
1) They called my fiancé last week claiming one of the groomsmen never came in to get fitted. My fiancé gave them the groomsman’s number so they could talk to him. He recently moved across state and won’t be able to come back to get refitted in case they ordered the wrong fit. Turns out, the groomsman HAD came in to get fitted (which we knew already) and H Stadiem misplaced

My brother and I grew up in this store. Last Saturday we visited and as always Mr. Hyman Stadiem and his staff were awesome!!!!!!!! We talked about the old days and good times as if it was yesterday. If you are in need of quality men's clothing then this is the store!!!! You will not regret it! Mr. Hyman THANK YOU for making our visit wonderful. I had to ask my Aunt about this store an truly what I love is that I needed close to fit for an friend he's was large 3x shirt waist 42 waist an size 13 shoes, with department stores close cause the CV19! They've truly help me as far as the clothes that I needed we used our phone which taken pictures of items of what I needed an then able to pickup on a date there would be available. I love this store cause it has the right size for my friend an they'd helm the pants my friend is 6"6

This was my first visit and I was completely satisfied with my experience. I purchase a suit from somewhere else but it didn't fit correctly so I needed another one for a funeral. They took the time with me while also completing an alteration that day for me I will be back to shop again.

My fiancee and I drove from New Bern to Kinston to purchase a suit for me for the wedding! Got to meet Mr. Hyman and the sales associate Clay! Both were very helpful and we were shocked at how big this store is! I recommend everyone do business with Mr. Hyman! I am a H Stadium customer for life!
