The Team
Report
NTRC's team is responsible for herding more than a dozen therapy horses and thousands of people - including participants, volunteers, supporters and one another. NTRC's team consists of PATH International Certified Instructors, all of whom hold the Therapeutic Riding Instructor certification and some of whom hold the additional Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning certification.
Barn Tours

On this tour, we will be walking around the property and inside our barns. Therefore, you are required to wear closed toe shoes due to the uneven ground, grasses, gravel and dirt that we will be walking on, not all surfaces are even and flat or smooth in nature. We want you to be as safe and comfortable as possible!
The Herd
Report
Our team seeks opportunities to meet prospective therapy horses. The herd is constantly shifting and changing as some approach retirement. This is a mentally and physically challenging job for a horse and the qualities we seek in horses are quite different than what some people think. Our participants benefit from the horse's movement.

Did you know the movement of a horse mimics the movement of a human's walk? When a person riding a horse experiences this movement they receive physical, sensory, and neurological stimulation, as if they are walking long distances.
