At The Open Doorway School, we offer a unique educational experience. Each of our students receives an individualized curriculum and special one-on-one instruction. Our classes are small and flexible to meet the needs of the individual student on a daily basis. Our student-to-teacher ratio is less than 5-to-1, among the lowest of institutions of our kind.

These programs help children stay busy during the summer months or provide the curriculum necessary for grade advancement. Our summer camp has a different theme-based activities with related field trips each season. Summer camp provides our students with continued structured program of academic skills with fun trips.

Through constant monitoring and evaluation, we update a child's educational plan as they grow and change. Selection as a National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET) School of Excellence is the highest honor a private special education school can achieve through the association.
