Eastern Medical Arts
Report
Several thousand years ago, East Asian medical practitioners discovered that the body develops disharmonies as a result of the various physical and mental stresses of life. These ancient physicians soon learned that inserting thin needles into the precise points on the body and burning the herb Artemesia vulgaris on the skin helped to relieve pain and other symptoms of disharmony.
Chinese Herbs
Report
Chinese herbs are often used in conjunction with acupuncture for added therapeutic effect. While many cultures have herbal medicine traditions, the sophistication of Chinese herbal medicine is unsurpassed. Chinese herbal medicine has a long history reaching back several thousand years, and the resulting system is now used to treat everything from the common cold to symptoms associated with cancer.
Sotai Ho
Report
Sotai Ho uses simple movements and breath work to release muscular restrictions and bring the body back into alignment with its natural gravitational center. Dr. Hashimoto found the easiest way to release these restrictions was to listen to the body's own wisdom to avoid pain and move into the direction of ease.
New Patients
Report
Many first-time patients are concerned that acupuncture needles will feel like hypodermic injections at the doctor's office, but they won't. The intake process will involve questions about your current state of health, past illnesses, and family history. Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Herbal Medicines and Sotai Ho Movement Therapies work by activating the body's own healing powers, so they can be beneficial for many health conditions.
