Services
Wisdom Teeth
Report
Even if there is not enough space in your jaw, the wisdom teeth can still try to erupt. As they do, they begin to put pressure on the adjacent teeth. This pressure forces these teeth out of alignment, causing them to put pressure on the rest of your teeth. As a result, you may be faced with overcrowding.
Facial Trauma
Report
Getting injured while playing sports. These injuries include colliding with another player, getting hit with a ball, or falling on the field. Soft tissue lacerations. These injuries can occur in your facial tissues or inside of your mouth. Lacerations not only affect your appearance, but they can also affect the functionality of blood vessels, nerves, and salivary glands and ducts.
Cleft Lip & Palate
Report
Problems with nursing or bottle feeding. If your child has a cleft palate, liquid can pass through the hole and into the nasal cavity. Issues with tooth development. Children with a cleft lip or cleft palate may have extra teeth, be missing teeth, or have malformed teeth. Children with a cleft lip or palate are at an increased risk for developing ear infections.
Sleep Apnea
Report
This surgery moves the main muscle in your tongue forward to keep the tongue from falling into your airway. With the right treatment for sleep apnea, you can finally get the restful sleep you need to wake up feeling refreshed and able to tackle the day ahead. For more information, and to schedule your consultation, call Treasure Valley Oral & Facial Surgery today at (208) 343-0909.
Multiple Tooth Implants
Report
Dental implant surgery can fail in people who smoke. Cigarette smoke can prevent the bone graft from doing its job and results in fibrous tissues that are not strong enough to support an implant. This causes an implant failure. An implant may also fail if your bite has not been adjusted properly or if the surgical site does not heal properly, resulting in infection.
