Services
Grass-Finished Beef
Our 100% grass-finished beef is raised without grains, hormones, or antibiotics. Cattle graze on diverse pastures, ensuring nutrient-rich meat while supporting soil health through rotational grazing. This method promotes animal welfare and environmental sustainability. Customers receive premium cuts that reflect our commitment to quality and transparency.
Regenerative Ranching
We employ regenerative practices like adaptive grazing and habitat conservation to rebuild ecosystems. These methods improve soil fertility, water retention, and biodiversity while sequestering carbon. By mimicking natural grazing patterns, we enhance grassland resilience and support wildlife populations, including Audubon-certified bird habitats.
Audubon Certification
Our Audubon Conservation Ranching certification verifies habitat-friendly practices that protect native bird species. By maintaining open grasslands and reducing chemical use, we create safe ecosystems for pollinators and migratory birds. This third-party validation ensures our operations align with conservation science and ecological stewardship.
Land Stewardship
We manage over 300 square miles of Colorados wilderness through sustainable grazing and conservation projects. Our team focuses on watershed protection, invasive species control, and wildfire recovery to maintain ecological balance. These efforts ensure long-term land health while supporting local communities and wildlife.
Direct-to-Market Beef
We connect consumers directly with our ranch through farmers markets, local retailers, and online partnerships. This model reduces supply chain steps, ensuring fresher products and fair prices. Customers gain transparency into sourcing while supporting regional agriculture and sustainable food systems.

Going down hill. Have stayed her five times and they've had staffing changes and seem to have decided to stop being a top tier destination. Food and beverage program was outstanding but now they are cutting corners.

We stayed three nights in one of the cabins. We had delicious home cooked meals, were made welcome by the wonderful staff, and had two great days of fly fishing.

High lonesome is amazing! great people! well let me tell you we hunt in BLM up in de begue colo. We hunt by the laws and do everything by the book. We know all the Chevron people who patrol up there and I do know the game warden. I have been hunting in that area for 24 years. When all of roan creek was gravel. The past 3 year things have gotten a bit crazy. Those high lonesome boys sure do know how to wrangle some elk and deer and they are getting a lot better at it too whoop whoop! They get in those big ole white trucks that say high lonesome on the side of them. And drive up in down those roads

Had a STUNNING experience at High Lonesome! My wife and I just returned this weekend after spending 6 days at this unbelievable ranch (around 400 square miles of pure heaven). Unforgettable 5 Star food, amazing activities (never thought I would enjoy fly fishing... much less cattle herding?!? I loved it!), along with the friendliest, most welcoming cast of ranchers, chefs, wranglers, staff, and animals (horses, goats, cattle) you will ever meet . I can't recommend this experience enough, a great vacation investment for everyone, friends + family. Memories of an adventure you will never forget
