The Beach Tanning Center is owned and operated by Mike Riddle. After working 20 years at UPS, Mike set out on the journey to open his own tanning salon. It all started in 1985 at the old Gaston Mall with only six tanning beds. We have been voted Best of Gaston multiple years in a row and noted an award-winning tanning center.

We've come a long way from our roots as a six-bed salon; we now have our own standalone tanning center featuring 25 tanning beds!

At The Beach Tanning Center, we ensure that all of our products are undiluted, new, and ready for you. We won't ever sell something that we don't stand behind 100%. We partner with some of the top brands in the tanning industry including Designer Skin, Australian Gold, and Swedish Beauty. These are lotions you won't find in a typical department store but we carry them all on site.
Tanning Beds

This bed really sizzles. The Centauri is just one of the two beds in our 3600 series. It features 18 of our 160 watt super reflector lamps in the canopy and 18 of our new generation of Meridian 7.5% lamps in the bench. Our engineers have calculated numerous combinations of formulas with several of the best lamps in the business at many different wattages to bring you incredible results in a quick 12 minute session.
