Texas Winery Experience in Weimar
At Whistling Duck Winery, we are dedicated to crafting high-quality Texas wines that reflect our passion for viticulture and hospitality. Established in 2007, our family-owned operation combines generations of agricultural expertise with a commitment to sustainable practices in our Weimar and Dublin vineyards. Our mission is to create an immersive Texas wine country experience through handcrafted wines, educational vineyard tours, and a welcoming atmosphere that celebrates Texas heritage. With over 6 acres of vineyards producing varietals like Tempranillo, Blanc du Bois, and Lenoir, we prioritize quality while maintaining the laid-back charm that defines our brand. Our team of experienced growers and winemakers brings decades of combined knowledge to every bottle we produce, ensuring consistency and excellence in our offerings.

As proud members of the Texas Independence Wine Trail, we uphold industry standards while maintaining our unique identity as a small, family-operated winery. Our commitment to transparency is evident in our open-door policy for visitors and our willingness to share the winemaking process from vine to glass. We maintain strict quality control through regular soil testing, careful grape selection, and traditional winemaking techniques that enhance each varietal's natural characteristics. Our facility's rustic design and rural setting provide an authentic Texas experience that differentiates us from urban wineries while maintaining professional standards. We demonstrate our expertise through wine education programs, food pairing events, and sustainable practices that showcase our deep understanding of Texas terroir.

So this was an unexpected diamond in the rolling hills of South Central Texas. All the wines were amazing- yes ALL!! The Co owners Carrie and John craft the wide variety of reds, white and sparkling wines! The staff was great, the owners were excellent host, even greeted us as we walked up! And the live music was really good. Prices are good, (join the club!!) and the selection was better than expected for a small winery! Looks like they are expanding too! Very laid back atmosphere! Everyone was friendly just like a small town vide! Go and enjoy! You will be glad you went!! Peace!!
