You will find the links to the trainings (Sideline Sports Doc and Safesport Training), you will need to complete both training courses, and save the completion certificates. Then you will go into the background check and complete with uploading the two training certificates. Once you receive your approved background check, please forward that email and a copy of your receipt to gbysltreasurer@yahoo.com for reimbursement.

GBYSL is a volunteer-based league. We offer two programs throughout the year, spring season from March/April through June and fall season from August through October. We also sponsor a summer camp in cooperation with a local club or a national group. Proceeds from this camp goes to our scholarship program.

The spirit of this rule is to encourage the U9 and U10 teams to learn how to play the ball forward from the first third. Traditionally keepers have been able to just punt the ball across the midway line which was a detriment to the players learning how to progress the ball forward from defense to mid field to the attackers.

U4 game is 4 five minutes quarters with 2 minutes water break and 5 minutes half time. The first team of the day sets up the goal and the last game takes it down, return it to the trailer. The goals and pinnies are located at the GBYSL trailer. Each team will do the kickoff at the beginning of each quarter.

The registration fee includes 8-10 weeks of practice and games, uniform, medal and team/individual photo. GBYSL is an outdoor soccer program and we run a Fall and Spring season of outdoor practice and games. Our game seasons coordinate with the Washoe County School District traditional calendar. Our spring season begins late March/early April and finishes approximately the second weekend of June.
